Electromagnetic fire door retainers allow fire doors to be legally held open in high foot traffic areas, reducing touchpoints and allowing access for all. When connected into a fire alarm system, power to the electromagnet is removed when the alarm is active; closing the fire door via it’s standard mechanism. 24VDC and 230VAC variants are available in fire resistant ABS or metal housings options.
